In Google, I/O 2015 Google introduced the partnership with Levi’s to take Project Jacquard another level. This year at Google I/O 2016 Levi’s Commuter trucker jacket is announced.  As you can visualize in the video that this jacket is designed mainly for the cyclist and woven with special conductive wires to help us answering calls and swipe information etc.

According to Google, 3rd party developers will also be able to create apps and they can mix directly into the project Jacquard app.  In the video a cyclist is able to receive direction, brush off a call and switch songs. Things are clear that the future of project Jacquard is bright.  So while cycling you don’t require to take your phone out of your pocket to change songs and ignore a call.

The collaboration between Levis and Google will get more interesting things with the help of conductive wires and chances are there that we can see more brand to collaborate will Google for the project Jacquard. Seems like you have to wait another year to try the commuter jacket because it will release to the public in Spring 2017.  Currently, we have no idea about the pricing of the ware.

What are your opinions about the project Jacquard?  Have any suggestions, let us know in the comment department.
