Today, in India, HTC launched the One M9+, priced at Rs. 52,500. The smartphone will be available from May 3 in the country. The company has also announced the HTC One E9+ and Desire 326g for the Indian market to be available in mid-may.
The superior variant of the flagship One M9, the M9+ sports a 5.2-inch Quad-HD (1440×2560 pixels) display and runs Android lollipop with HTC Sense 7 UI out of the box. The smartphone is powered by Mediatek Helio X10 processor, which has 8 cores and speed of up to 2.2GHz. The big home button on the One M9+ is a fingerprint sensor that will also support biometric authentications. The fingerprint sensor on HTC One M9+ is touch based and can read fingerprints in any articulation possible, upside down too. On the rear, the phone has a 20-megapixel dual camera. HTC says that it uses a sapphire lens cover. On the front there is a 4-megapixel camera with HTC’s ultrabixel technology.
“India is not only a critical market for HTC but it is also a market specially dear to my heart. Currently we have six per cent market share in India but eventually we want it push it above 10 per cent,” said Chialin Chang, President for global sales, HTC.
HTC has noted that One M9+ will be released in Gold on Silver and Gold on Gold colour variants.
