Today, Micromax unveiled their newest phone, Canvas Sliver 5 in New Delhi. The USP of the device is it’s 5.1mm end-to-end super-slim waistline without any camera bump/protruding. Weighing 97 grams, the phone has a metallic rim made out of aircraft grade aluminium.
The Canvas Sliver 5 comes with a 4.8″ AMOLED display of 720p resolution with Gorilla Glass 3, which helped bring thickness down compared to IPS panels and Gorilla Glass 2.
This handset is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It has an internal storage space of 16 GB. The Canvas Sliver 5 has a 2000mAh battery.
The rear camera is a 8MP Sony IMX219 sensor with a blue glass filter. In the front is a 5MP selfie camera.
The company also announced a new service policy for the Canvas Sliver 5 – a door-step phone service. In case of services for the Sliver 5, users can lodge a complain online or through phone. The device will be collected from your home or office and will be delivered back within 7 days.
The smartphone comes in a single-SIM support only, but it does support LTE. The new smartphone runs Android lollipop out of the box. The device will be available for Rs 17,999 starting next month, in Back and Gold color options, through online and physical stores.
