Asus has launched an upgraded version of its battery centric Asus Zenfone Max smartphone in India. It carriers the same non-removable 5,000 mAh battery and can charge other phones as well.

Running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Asus ZenUI , the upgraded Asus Zenfone Max sports the similar 5.5″ display with 720p resolution.

The smartphone packs a mid-range Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with 2GB or 3GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. The original Zenfone Max features a Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, coupled with 2GB RAM only.

The inbuilt storage has been upgraded from 16GB to 32GB, which can be expanded up to 64GB via a MicroSD card. The imaging department is handled by a 13MP (f2.0) rear camera with Laser Auto-Focus and LED Flash. Selfie snapper stands at 5MP.

The device will be available in Black, White, Orange and Blue color options with a price tag of Rs 9,999 for the 2GB RAM model and Rs 12,999 for the 3GB RAM model.
